The BITS system is a localized version of SCATS and SCOOT systems. The aim of this study was to evaluate of BITS system on traffic and environmental variables. The system was evaluated in both cases of coordinated and isolated signals. Traffic variables include line length, delay time, stop time, travel time, and average speed. Environmental variables include fuel consumption, air pollution caused by carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides, and noise pollution. Prescheduled, intelligent, and coordinated control systems were compared by collecting field data on the traffic flow rate, travel time, and air and noise pollution and simulation in AIMSUN software in three four-way and two three-way intersections in Yazd, Iran. The results showed that all variables were significantly improved in the isolated intelligent control system compared to the isolated prescheduled control system, and the coordinated prescheduled control system performed better than the isolated prescheduled control system. The isolated intelligent control system showed the best traffic and environmental performance. In addition, line length and stop time were the most affected. Compared to other variables, these two could mostly be measured through drivers’ perceptions. According to the above, using BITS intelligent traffic signals and coordinating nearby intersections – the green wave in successive intersections – can prevent the waste of time and national resources. More immediate effects are reduced air and noise pollution, and reduced delay.}, keywords = {Traffic Signal,BITS Intelligent Signals,Coordinated Intersections,Traffic Variables,Environmental variables}, title_fa = {تأثیر چراغ‌های هوشمند BITS و هماهنگ‌سازی تقاطع‌ها بر متغیرهای ترافیکی و زیست محیطی (مطالعه موردی: شهر یزد)}, abstract_fa = { برای کاهش اثرات نامطلوب تقاطعها میتوان از سیستمهای هوشمند و هماهنگسازی چراغها  استفاده کرد. سیستم BITS همان سیستمهای SCATS  و SCOOT بوده که در داخل کشور بومی سازی شده است. بنابراین هدف این مطالعه بررسی تأثیر سیستم هوشمند BITS بر متغیرهای ترافیکی و زیست محیطی است. این ارزیابی در حالت چراغهای هماهنگ و منفرد نیز انجام شده است. متغیرهای ترافیکی شامل طول صف، زمان تأخیر، زمان توقف، زمان سفر، سرعت متوسط و متغیرهای زیست محیطی شامل مصرف سوخت، آلودگی هوا ناشی از گازهای کربن منواکسید، هیدروکربن و اکسیدهای نیتروژن و آلودگی صوتی هستند. مطالعه با انتخاب سه چهار راه و دو سه راه در شهر یزد و برداشتهای میدانی نرخ تردد، زمان سفر، آلودگی هوا و صدا و شبیه سازی در نرم افزار AIMSUN  ومقایسهای بین سیستم کنترل ثابت، هوشمند و هماهنگ صورت گرفت. نتایج نشان داد در کنترل منفرد هوشمند، تمام متغیرها بهبود قابل توجهی نسبت به کنترل منفرد ثابت داشته وکنترل ثابت هماهنگ، بهتر از ثابت مجزا است؛ در حالی که کنترل مجزای هوشمند از هر دو مورد ذکر شده، عملکرد ترافیکی و زیست محیطی بهتری داشته است.همچنین  بیشترین تاثیر روی طول صف و زمان توقف بوده که بیشتر از سایر متغیرها توسط ادارک رانندهگان قابل اندازهگیری است. بنابراین میتوان با استفاده از چراغهای راهنمایی هوشمند BITSو هماهنگسازی تقاطعهای یا به عبارتی کاربرد موج سبز در تقاطعهای نزدیک به هم، از به هدر رفتن وقت و سرمایههای ملّی جلوگیری کرد. نتیجه عملیتر آن کاهش آلودگی هوا،  صدا و تأخیر وسایل نقلیه پشت چراغهای راهنمایی است. }, keywords_fa = {تقاطع‌های هماهنگ,چراغ‌های راهنمایی,چراغ‌های هوشمند BITS,متغیرهای ترافیکی,متغیرهای زیست محیطی}, url = {https://road.bhrc.ac.ir/article_96691.html}, eprint = {https://road.bhrc.ac.ir/article_96691_709cd12c4f341666d24b8d31475fc3f8.pdf} }
