Abstract

The science of geotechnics has long sought solutions to improve soil properties to increase efficiency, strength and bearing capacity.Numerous laboratory studies have been performed to investigate the geotechnical characteristics of soil mixtures and other additives to improve soil properties. The important point is to choose the best additive, so that in addition to improving the geotechnical properties, it also has economic and practical justification.Today, with the advent of new methods, this choice can be achieved.Multi criteria decision making (AHP) is one of these methods which is based on pairwise comparisons. In this way, the decision starts with providing a hierarchical tree, then a series of pairwise comparisons are performed, and finally the logic of the hierarchical analysis process somehow combines the matrices obtained from the pairwise comparisons. In this research, first by performing various geotechnical experiments in different mixing designs, criteria and sub-criteria are determined and then using multi-criteria decision making method to study and model different options to select the best mixing design in order to Soil improvement has been addressed. The results show the positive effect of the cement mixing plan based on different test criteria, so that the 7% cement mixing plan with a final weight of 0.303 is in the first rank and the 5% cement mixing plan with a final weight of 0.185 is in the next rank.
