Abstract
This study aims to investigate the geotechnical design for industrial landfills. Because of the vastness of industries and factories in Iran, millions of cubic meters of industrial waste are produced annually, which unfortunately is in the direction of landfilling this waste to do the right thing. This will cause irreparable environmental damage and the spread of pollution on a large scale in nature, eventually leading to climate change and the extinction of many species of animals and plants. Reconstruction and decomposition of industrial waste require technology, macro management, and a lot of time. This research first tries to introduce the types of industrial pollutants produced by factories and examine their impact on soil characteristics. To locate the desired location through GIS science and design the landfill for industrial waste using PLAXIS software and classify different types of landfills according to the kind of liner so that they can be used for various industrial centers in the country, landfill for industrial waste. It designed the industries accordingly, and in the end, we compared the waste collection and disposal systems of the United States, Japan, France, Iran, and the United Kingdom.
