Abstract

As many countries of the world ,in Iran ,the industry of transportation ,especially ,air transportation is an effective factor in developing of economy ,industry and tourism and also a cause of speeding in developing these areas. for the time being regarding the importance of airports in moving goods and travelers and developing the before mentioned activities ,it is necessary to have a careful survey on the role of airports in speeding those activities.

That is why in this article ,the airports of Sari and Rasht have been conforming compared.

And by using the relevant conform information ,the number of monthly travelers coming in and going out from these airports, during the years 85 to 89 and by using a gravity regression models and Spss soft wares ,the distance factor in demanding to travel by air have been analyzed .demand to travel by air (gravity model)and the effects of economy industry and tourism make traveling by air (regression model)to be considered.

In consequent the results gotten show that distance factor between Sari and other cities 34/8% and Rasht 41/9% have been effective and from economical ,industrial and tourism activities economical tourism has had the highest effects and tourism the highest effect to travel by air to Rasht.
