Abstract

Today, the complete urban pedestrian areas and sidewalks are one of the most important public spaces in the city, which can play an important role in promoting socio-cultural activities. Pedestrian movement on the sidewalks due to proper design and knowledge based on the aspects of the city landscape increases perception, identity and sense of belonging to the environment and beauty. It is known as the Street of Cheragh Bargh. To investigate and analyze the benefits of walking and its results, a scenario is planned and compared with AHP hierarchical analysis. With the closure of the route, alternative routes are used instead of Motahari Street, and the results of the parameters of each scenario are analyzed with Aimsun simulator software. In the following, the level of people's interest in creating a sidewalk will be checked using a questionnaire. The results showed that the traffic of the city or the congestion of the vehicle due to the lack of entry of the vehicle into the central fabric of the city and the place that caused the traffic of the city, caused the use of public transportation to flourish and the use of a single-passenger personal vehicle to reach to the place of work or the so-called door-to-door transportation. Also, due to the high traffic and long stops, the air pollution was more, which was reduced by using the pedestrian plan.
