Abstract

Road networks are considered as the backbone of transportation systems that play an important role in the social and economic prosperity of societies. For this reason, it is very important to develop road networks with a higher resilience rate for normal operation during an earthquake. Earthquake damage to road networks cannot be accurately predicted because of various factors such as: age, condition of buildings, population density and unavailability of resources to reduce the risk. District 2 of District 16 of Tehran is actually the same neighborhood as Nazi Abad and is one of the oldest structures in Tehran, which is located in the south of the city. The main goal of this research is to compile the transportation strategies of district 2 of district 16 of Tehran by analyzing the documentary-field information and using the shapefile of the studied area in ArcGIS 10.3 software and with the help of SWOT technique and IE matrix. The prioritization of strategies has been done using the QSPM matrix. The findings and results of the research indicate that due to the concentration of commercial users and travel absorbers in the center of the district and the degree of wear and tear, the high fineness of the parts, the low permeability of the road network has increased the vulnerability of the road network in critical conditions.
