Quantitative Evaluation of Interchanges Operation from Users Opinion (Case Study: Urmia City, Modarres Interchange)

Abstract

In urban roads when the improvement of one interchange is purposing, one of   the offers for increasing the efficiency of intersections is building interchanges. This research have codified in parallel of following theories: 1) there is a meaningful relation between the desirable operation of left-turns in interchange and passerby and bikers safety. 2) It sounds that there is a meaningful relation between passerby and bikers safety and compatibility with the around skeletal environment. As for the relation of urban and users of urban is mutual, enjoy from citizens opinion can be useful in parallelism improvement of interchange efficiency. The question of this research is that: what relation is there between desirable operation of left-turns, passerby and bikers’ safety and compatibility with around skeletal environment .The aim of this research is evaluation of interchanges operation according to variables like passerby and bikers safety, left-turn operation and its compatibility with around skeletal environment. For arrive this goal, first the existent articles and books about this context read and surveyed. Then 40 questionnaires that its reliability confirmed according to Cronbach's alpha with amount of 0/752و alpha with amount of 0/752, distribute between users of interchange and for surveying the relation between variables use C Kendell Tau exam and Spearman coefficient. Getting results from two exams analysis show that there is meaningful relation between passerby and bikers safety, left-turn operation and also interchange compatibility with the around skeletal environment.
