Investment Ranking Of Arterial Roads (Case Study‌: Boushehr Staty)

Abstract

Depending on their implementation time, significance, indicators, and priorities, road construction projects offer various decision-making methods to project managers and executives. In other words, the choice of the decision-making method is arguably a multiple-criteria decision-making by itself which calls for the development of new models and frameworks. Accordingly, an approach for road construction project support in managerial decision-makings was offered in this study. The functional framework and explicable macro-level results were then analyzed using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP), TOPSIS, and ELECTRE methods. Finally, the projects of the studied province (Bushehr, Iran) were examined and ranked based on the identified priorities in AHP, TOPSIS, and ELECTRE and the results and suggestions were offered.
