Determine criteria of assessment to prioritize problems of urban freight transport using a decision-making and average weighted method (case study: Tehran city)

Abstract

The problems of urban freight transport in recent years has become an important issue in urban management. The data collection process includes six main initial planning stage, the method of data collection, sampling, data collection instrument design, pilot study, and the data was collected. 478 Two Interviews and questionnaires were collected online from various interest groups. 30 and 10%, respectively, with the participation of experts and managers, the highest and lowest data into account. More than 90% of air pollution and accidental loading vehicles of the most important problems of urban freight know. Also, more than 40% of cargo agents, low-fare carriers and inappropriate inhibition was once the most important problems of urban freight transport.
Major problems for drivers and high costs of maintenance and no union to defend their rights as it was. To prioritize the issues from the perspective of managers, professionals, and citizens of the statistical method of averaging the weighted response and association analysis was used. The results are similar for both methods showed that protect the environment, enhance safety and provide a stable source of income for the city's most important priorities of managers and experts in handling cargo. While the views of citizens, to maintain quality of time, providing alternative sources of municipal revenue is stable. As expected, the main concerns of the different groups have different levels of knowledge and experience in the field of transportation.
