Abstract

Today, with the increasing number of vehicles on urban roads, there is a lot of interference in the intersection. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the construction or modification of intersections, especially interchanges, which have flourished in recent years. On the other hand, given the high costs of intersecting construction projects, it is important to address the problem of the whole network's traffic problem. In this paper, it has been tried to provide a more comprehensive vision for planners and administrators by creating a method for classifying and prioritizing intersections, so that they can provide budget allocations and appropriate time priorities for their construction or modification, as the improvement and development of non-interconnected intersections Geometric and traffic-poor, not only improves the efficiency of the intersection, but also improves the efficiency of the entire highway network. After reviewing the intersections, a TOPSIS method was used to analyze the Shannon entropy weights. Further, geometric and traffic indicators were defined. Then, they were categorized and prioritized as the case study of non-level intersections of Shahid Hemmati highway in Tehran (14 cases). The results are observed from the intersections in each category, the intersection of the left-handed or the right-handed with the bandwidth and the increase in the speed of the high-speed, has a higher priority.
