Abstract
In urban accidents, the lack of a method that can help identify high-risk areas of accidents by analyzing the factors involved in the occurrence of urban accidents is noticeable, and achieving correct safety models with high predictive power is always one of the main concerns of transportation, traffic, traffic management and urban design specialists in the urban planning process. The type of research is applied and, given the nature of the subject, the research method is descriptive-analytical. The data collection method is based on documents and surveys. Accordingly, the important factors that, after combining and combining data in the GIS environment, were first determined on the distribution map of traffic accidents in Gachsaran city, were then weighted by AHP and then prioritized with Topsis. The statistical population included traffic police officers and experts and urban design engineers. According to the output, geometric, environmental damage, and design and map ranked first to third as having the greatest impact on the occurrence of urban accidents in Gachsaran. Weighting was done using the TOPSIS method and based on the ranking of damages, lack of attention to the urban landscape, width inappropriate placement of recreational and service places ranked first to third in intra-city accidents in Gachsaran with emphasis on urban design form, and other damages were ranked later. Despite important advances in increasing road safety, significant accidents with high severity continue to occur within the city, and modeling can increase the ability of engineers to identify the amount of damage effective in accidents.
