Abstract
Considering the special position of public transportation development, the present article has evaluated the efficiency of bus lines using Analytical Hierarchy (AHP) method; therefore, by reviewing the literature and background of the research, the effective criteria in evaluating the efficiency of bus lines were determined and a list of effective criteria and sub-criteria was identified. In this study, the aim is to evaluate the efficiency of Isfahan bus lines from two points of view: users and operators; for this reason, performance evaluation has been done in two separate processes. The data collected about the criteria are entered into the Expert-Choice software and after performing the necessary calculations, the final weight of each criterion is determined, according to which, among the 7 performance evaluation criteria from the user's point of view, the passenger waiting time is 0.309 is the most important and driver's behavior is the least important with 0.036 compared to other criteria in the efficiency of lines. Also, among the 3 efficiency evaluation criteria from the driver's point of view, the economic criterion with 0.683 and the effectiveness criterion with 0.117 play the least importance compared to other criteria in the efficiency of lines. Finally, from the point of view of the users, line 34 is the most efficient with 0.203 points, and line 31 is the least efficient with 0.109 points, and from the operators' point of view, line 1 is the most efficient with 0.263 points and line 20 is the least efficient with 0.074 points.
