Abstract
Today, many models have been presented to estimate the travel schedule, each of which is based on its own theory and theories, and in the future, the number of estimation models will certainly increase. In transportation systems, demand display and related analyzes are based on a matrix called origin-destination matrix. Since the conventional methods for obtaining this matrix, which are based on interviews and on-site statistics, are costly and time-consuming and cause inconvenience to people, mathematical methods based on observed statistics (such as counting The volume of traffic through the network is increasing day by day. In observational models, measurements were made on the links of some transportation networks, so a range of statistical methods for estimating the OD matrix can be used. The proposed method makes it possible to calculate the OD flows based on Markov transfer probabilities, which greatly simplifies the estimation problem. If the Markov assumption about OD flows is not violated, this method helps to achieve accurate results on any network. The results show that the proposed method incorrectly estimates the OD matrix with a "strong" violation of the Markov property and cannot be used. However, "small" violations of the Markov property affect this method, but still allow the results to be close to the true values.
