Abstract
Road pavement rollerconcrete is one of the types of concretepavement, which is a new and developing technology due to the increase in execution speed and construction method. But in Iran, due to theproblems of implementation in large thicknesses, reducing the thickness of this type of pavement along with maintaining the resistance is of particular importance.Bending strength and fatigue resistance are among themost important effective parameters inthe design of pavement thickness, whichare directly related tothe uniaxial compressive strength of concrete. Also, considering theimportance ofthe durability of concrete pavements(from the point of view of the possibility of penetration of water, corrosive materials and salts),reducing the percentage of waterabsorption of pavementrollerconcrete is oneof the main parameters; Therefore, the use of effective additives as well as the appropriate mixing plan can have a significant effect on increasing the resistance and reducing thepercentage of water absorption of rolled concrete in the pavement. In the present research, the compressive strength of rolled concrete samples attwo ages of 7days and 28 days hasbeen determined and evaluated.Pas proof(PP) powder sealant with different percentages was investigated for this type of pavement, the result of which was the proposal of a mixing plan with continuous granulation. On the other hand, by adding 1.5, 3, 4.5, and 6 percent of waterproofing powder, water absorption decreased by 46.9, 63.8, 71.8, and 76.8 percent, respectively, which increased the strength and durability of the pavement roller concrete. Also, withthe increase of cement from 400 kg/m3 to 450 kg/m3, the amount of waterabsorption has decreased from 3.5% to 2.5%.
