Explaining the Dimensions and Components of Driver Incentive and Disciplinary Measures in Traffic Discipline

Abstract
Human error in driving is the cause of many accidents and traffic irregularities. Adopting effective incentive and disciplinary policies for drivers can be effective in increasing traffic discipline. Therefore, the present study seeks to explain the dimensions and components of incentive and disciplinary measures for drivers in traffic discipline. In terms of purpose, it is applied and in terms of method, it is exploratory. Statistical population in qualitative part was experts from the Comprehensive University of Law Enforcement Sciences and the Traffic Police Headquarters using a purposeful judgment sampling method, and quantitative part, the statistical population was senior experts from Traffic Police Headquarters using a descriptive survey method. In the qualitative part, theme analysis method and MAXQDA2020 software were used, and quantitative part, confirmatory analysis using the pls3 Smart confirmatory factor analysis software was used. In the qualitative part of the research, the findings extracted from interviews with experts, educational-explanatory, financial-economic, reactive-feedback and cultural-media dimensions were identified to explain the research topic. Also, the greatest impact drivers' incentive and disciplinary measures in traffic discipline in the quantitative part related reactive-feedback dimension with impact coefficient0.780 and a t-statistic of 365.25, and least impact is related cultural-media dimension with an impact coefficient of 0.578 and a t-statistic of 793.16 in drivers' incentive and disciplinary measures traffic discipline. The identified drivers' incentive and disciplinary measures require designing and updating systems, adopting legislative policies, and creating the necessary structures in the organizations in charge in this field.
