Investigating the challenges of combined transportation in the hinterland of Shahid Rajaee Port and providing implementation solutions

Abstract
Despite its effective role from an economic perspective at the national level, Hormozgan province has numerous challenges in the hinterland of the port in terms of coordinating different modes of transportation with each other. Moreover, each of the road, rail, marine and air modes also have issues that need to be investigated and resolved in cooperation with other organizations. This article aims to scrutinize and prioritize the challenges and implementation solutions of Shahid Rajaee Port and the hinterland, emphasizing the various factors affecting combined transportation and organizing interested and influential factors. The study was problem-oriented and in the form of field visits and receiving the views of officials, experts and users of transportation in different modes, and the results were presented in the form of an operational plan at different national and regional levels. Finally, the solutions were categorized and presented as measures of study (12%), implementation (32%), policy-making (26%), and coordination (24%) in four modes of transportation, and the responsible and cooperating organizations were determined to carry out the measures. The results represent that about 50% of the existing issues and challenges can be resolved through policy-making and inter-organizational coordination.
