Comparison of the Amount of Noise Caused by the Arrival, the Stop, and the Departure of the Train in the Metro Station (Case Study: Imam Reza (As) Tabriz Station)

Abstract
Noise in cities as one of the important environmental problems is increasing due to various reasons such as the increase in population density, increase in the number of transportation vehicles, increase in industries and increase in construction and construction activities. Considering the increase in population and the traffic of people in big cities and as a result air pollution and urban traffic, it is important to pay attention to public transportation, especially the subway. Encouraging people to choose public transportation systems requires that it pursues convenience and public satisfaction. One of the most important sources of noise pollution in the urban environment is the noise from public transportation, especially the subway. Therefore, the noise caused by the movement of subway trains in cities is one of the dangers that can always endanger human health. Therefore, employees and even subway passengers are at risk of encountering noise that exceeds the permissible limit. Noise as one of the environmental pollutants in rail transport systems, especially inside urban metro stations, has been studied less. By comparing the results of the three modes (entry, stop and exit) at Imam Reza station, it can be concluded that the level of sound produced during the arrival of trains is higher than when the train stops and leaves.
